I found the book somewhat interesting and somewhat boring? 10%in the book and some bits and pieces were interesting. But the rest i didn’t like that much.. I didn’t get as much invested in the characters as i had hoped. But i think, maybe that is just because of me? I don’t know. But some of the characters and the happenings had me bored and/or confused. Plus when they cursed and/or got suprised they used «Kiraiah’s nipples» or «Kiraiah’s feet» or something and that just threw me off, i just felt awkwarded as heck about it. some parts of the book itself was alright, but it’s not something i’d care to read the second installment in the series. It was sad, because i had high hopes for this one, plus the somewhat love triangle kind of ‘threw me off’ and made my eyes roll, it felt like the main girl went from a guy to another… But, you win some and you loose some, i guess.

Oh no! Sucks you didn’t enjoy this, but I totally get, seeing as how you weren’t invested in the characters. I’m very character-driven in my reading tastes, so when I don’t care about characters, I just don’t care about the rest of the book either 🤷🏻♀️ And lol those curses do sound really awkward 😂 Plus, love triangles are really tricky to well, and it sounds like this book didn’t do it that great

Yeah i really wanted to enjoy it, but i just didn’t. I was bored out of my mind after 10% so 😦 I understand what you’re saying and it’s totally the same for me, well if i like some i care but ugh. Yeah this love triangle-thing was just… ugh, kinda forced? wierd? I don’t know. Yeah, those curses were awkward as f… threw me off.
But maybe someone else will like the book. 🙂

It’s a shame when an ARC isn’t working for you. I know with me, I want to just chuck it and read something else but I feel like I owe it to the publisher /author to finish it

Very true, i mean when you get and ARC there’s a little bit of a comitment there, i think. I want to finish it, because… i owe it to the publishers and author. But still, sometimes i can’t «stick it out.»

So far I’ve finished the ones I’ve been sent, even ones I didn’t like, but I’ll admit if I’m not enjoying it I end up skimming it.
